Job description

Application Ownership:

  • End-to-End Management: Serve as the IT owner for designated software applications, managing the full lifecycle including implementation, updates, maintenance, and decommissioning. IT owner also to ensure the application continues to meet business needs and performance standards.

  • System Performance Monitoring: Oversee the performance of applications, ensuring uptime, reliability, and continuous improvement to meet evolving business needs.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact between IT and business stakeholders, ensuring alignment between the organization's objectives and the application's capabilities. Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring optimal service delivery, ongoing support, and contract management. Work collaboratively across IT team to ensure seamless data flow and interoperability across systems and meeting compliance standards.

  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure that applications comply with internal policies, industry standards, and legal regulations. Maintain security best practices and manage risks.

Project/Enhancement:

  • Project/Enhancement Planning: ensures that timelines, budgets, and resources are effectively managed.

  • Requirements Gathering: Lead the process of gathering business and technical requirements for new software solutions, working closely with cross-functional teams to define project scope.

  • Team Player: Collaborates with key stakeholders to drive successful implementation and adoption of new applications.

  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with application deployment, including data migration challenges, user training, and integration with existing systems.

  • Change Management: Oversee change management activities, ensuring smooth adoption of new systems by end-users. Facilitate communication, user training, and provide ongoing support post-implementation.

  • Performance Tracking: Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor the success of application implementations, ensuring that business objectives are met.

Software Evaluation & Selection:

  • Vendor Assessment: Assist with evaluations of software vendors and solutions, including proof of concept (POC), ROI analysis, and alignment with business strategy.

  • RFP Management: Assist with Request for Proposal (RFP) process for new software acquisitions, coordinating with internal teams and vendors to ensure a transparent and competitive selection.

  • Technology Fit: Evaluate the integration capability of new applications within the existing IT ecosystem, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science. PMP, ITIL is a plus.

  • At least 5-7 years of experience in application management, with a proven track record of leading project implementations.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess system performance and implement improvements.

  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and changing requirements.

  • Familiarity with Regulations & Standards: Understanding of IT compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, ISO) and experience ensuring software applications meet regulatory requirements.

  • Familiarity with cloud-based applications, SaaS solutions, and modern IT architecture.

  • Technical or Developer background is an advantage
