As an Information Technology Business Partner, you will play a critical role in aligning our business objectives with IT solutions to drive operational efficiency, productivity, and innovation. You will serve as a strategic advisor to various business units, collaborating closely with key stakeholders to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities. Your primary responsibilities will include:


  • Strategic Planning: Work closely with senior management and business unit leaders to develop and implement IT strategies that support the overall business objectives and growth initiatives of the organization.

  • Business Relationship Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and advocate for their IT needs. Proactively identify opportunities for technology-enabled business improvements.
  • Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with business units to gather and analyze requirements for IT projects/initiatives and establish the business benefits. Translate business needs into technical requirements and ensure alignment with IT capabilities and resources.
  • Solution Design and Implementation: Lead high-level design and implementation approach of IT solutions that address business challenges and opportunities. Work with internal IT teams or external vendors to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions on time and within budget.
  • Change Management: Work with business stakeholders to drive change management efforts to ensure successful adoption and utilization of IT solutions across the organization. Provide guidance and support to business stakeholders throughout the implementation process.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor the performance and effectiveness of IT solutions, identifying areas for improvement and optimization. Work with business units and IT teams to continuously enhance and refine technology capabilities to meet evolving business needs.
  • Risk Management and Compliance: Collaborate with IT security and compliance teams to ensure that IT solutions comply with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices. Identify and mitigate potential risks to the organization's data, systems, and operations.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with IT vendors and service providers, ensuring that they deliver high-quality services and solutions that meet the needs of the business. Negotiate contracts and service agreements as needed.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT business partnering or a related role, preferably in maritime industry.
  • Strong understanding of business processes, operations, and challenges, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading IT projects and initiatives from concept to implementation.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of IT governance frameworks, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISM) are a plus.
