The Logistics Coordinator is responsible for the seamless movement of goods from local and international suppliers to the SSAVs.

Job Summary

This role acts as the vital link between procurement and operations, ensuring that all materials are expedited, cleared through customs, and delivered to the vessel on schedule and within budget. 

Key Responsibilities

Expediting & Vendor Management

  • Order Tracking: Actively monitor the status of all open purchase orders (Local and Overseas) to ensure vendor compliance with delivery dates.

  • Proactive Problem Solving: Identify potential delays in the manufacturing or shipping process and escalate to the Procurement and Technical team as needed.

International Freight & Customs Coordination

  • Freight Forwarder Management: Coordinate with global freight forwarders to book shipments via air or sea ensuring the most cost-effective and timely routes.

  • Brazil Customs Compliance: Work closely with Brazil customs brokers to ensure all documentation (Invoices, Packing Lists) is accurate to prevent costly delays at the port.

  • Consolidation: Manage the consolidation of shipments at the Brazil warehouse to optimize container space and reduce freight spend.

Operational Support & Reporting

  • SSAV Delivery: Ensure the "last mile" delivery to the vessels is coordinated with Petrobras and vessel captains.

  • Data Integrity: Maintain accurate records in the procurement system (e.g., ABS NS) regarding shipment status and delivery completion.

  • Cross-Functional Backup: Assist the wider Supply Chain team during peak periods and provide input for process improvements in the Brazil logistics flow.

Job requirements

Required Education & Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain, preferably within the Shipping or Offshore (O&G) industry.

  • Knowledge: Good understanding of Incoterms 2020, shipping documentation, and international freight processes. Experience with Brazil customs regulations is highly advantageous.

  • Education: Certificate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication skills to manage diverse stakeholders (Forwarders, Brokers, Suppliers).

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple shipments.

  • Proficiency in Excel and procurement/logistics software.
