Tasks and Responsibilities
You are required to provide support throughout each data centre project life cycle (across K2 locations) which includes the following:
Ensure effectiveness and consistency in application of internal policies and procedures for construction contracts and consultancy service agreements.
Support and advise project team on contract matters, procurement strategy and tendering procedures.
Engage and liaise with external consultants, contractors, and suppliers including managing a registry of these approved external providers.
Advise project team on construction costs, tender indices, market trends, benchmarking, value engineering and construction related cost risks.
Maintain development cost database and provide regular cost reports.
Using financial indicators, trends and models, identify opportunities for cost savings.
Execute procurement of provisional sum items for projects.
Other on-going tasks and responsibilities include:
Provide construction cost input for project feasibility studies.
Drive business process/continuous improvement initiatives.
Update of project cost information/status.
Safekeeping of contract documents and drawings, statement of final accounts, performance bonds and insurance policies (if any),
Perform other duties as assigned or instructed.
Job requirements
Experience and skills
8-10 years’ minimum relevant working experience as quantity surveyor and/or in data centre industry preferred.
Good understanding in building services/data centre project lifecycle.
Proficiency in MS Office especially Excel
Strong communications skills and good command of written and spoken English. Additional language will be an advantage.
Ability to work independently, meticulous, analytical, proactive and able to meet tight deadlines.
Excellent interpersonal, stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
Educational qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Building Management or its equivalent
