Job description

Provides support to Executive Recruitment including recruitment and documentation/administrative tasks.

  • Sourcing, screening, and assisting in the hiring process of seafarers to meet the principal’s requirements for endorsement to Operations Manager/Assistant Operations Manager and the Principal.

  • Maintaining and monitoring the candidate pool.

  • Managing the company’s social media accounts and e-recruitment platforms.

  • Coordinating assessment and interview schedules with applicants.

  • Verifying the authenticity of applicants' documents.

  • Conducting background inquiries to confirm new applicants' performance evaluations.

  • Updating applicant data and statuses in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and Recruitment Request List.

  • Performing sanction checks on applicants.

  • Encoding applicant records in crewing software as required.

Job requirements

  • College Degree

  • Preferably have a degree in Human Resource Management, General Business, or Similar Qualifications in Maritime Studies

  • Preferably possess a MARINA issued Certificate of Competency (CoC) - OIC-NW or OIC-EW (not mandatory)

  • Have crew recruitment experience preferably within the shipping industry or with sailing experience

  • Ability to communicate clearly, effectively, and confidently with principals, agents, and vessel crews

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Adequate knowledge in ISO 9001 Standards

  • Advanced organizational skills
