POSH is looking for an IK Operations Engineer to manage, deliver and execute the Transportation & Installation (T&I) scopes on a project which will commence soon.

Job description

The IK Operations Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that the Project scope of work activities are managed and delivered in an effective and safe manner. Will assist in developing appropriate project organizational capabilities, liaising closely with Project Management Team (PMT) to ensure the requirements of all activities are managed and delivered in accordance with business requirements and to maintain awareness of, and control exposure to, operational and commercial risks.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Responsible for the management and delivery of the Project, in accordance with client and company expectations, within budgetary constraints, in a timely, accurate, safe and cost-effective manner
  • Overall responsible for the operational efficiency of the Project
  • Identify, manage and mitigate all relevant project risks (Safety, Environment, Technical, Operational, Commercial, Contractual) as far as reasonably practicable.
  • Ensure maintenance of effective Client interfaces and negotiate with Clients as and when required.
  • Manage all contractual issues arising with subcontractors.
  • Manage project team, 3rd parties and functional interfaces in accordance with POSH group’s values, goals and objectives.
  • Ensure sufficient resources are hired and allocated to the Project to ensure smooth delivery without delays.
  • Ensure compliance with Client contractual requirements in close liaison with the Project Contracts Manager.
  • Work closely with the Project Controls Manager for effective management of project budget, costs, cash flow and margin.
  • Optimize the utilization of operational resources to ensure revenues and profitability are maximized.
  • Communicating project status, updates, and changes to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinating with the project team on a day-to-day basis to ensure that the project is progressing as planned.


Job requirements


  • A degree in Engineering or a relevant field is preferred.
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in offshore oil & gas industry, including 5 years in an Operations role within the O&G industry.
  • Relevant experience working on previous EPCI or T&I offshore construction projects is required
  • Previous track record of working on Saudi Aramco LTA Projects of similar scopes is required
  • Good planning and organizational skills, will need to liaise with the following (internal / external) depts
    • Logistics Department
    • Crewing Department
    • Port Captains & Vetting Department (Internal and External)
    • Subcontractors and Vendors
    • GRO’s (as required)
    • SCM
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment split in various geographical locations.
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to create and implement project plans, manage budgets and expenses, and identify and manage risks.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate project status, changes, and updates to stakeholders, both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong leadership skills, including the ability to manage and lead project teams and coordinate with other stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of offshore regulations and standards, including safety regulations and environmental regulations.
  • Familiarity with offshore equipment and materials, including vessel chartering and procurement of equipment and materials.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and manage risks associated with offshore projects.
  • Fluent in English
  • Competent MS Office Suite User and Project Management Software tools such as MS Project
  • Other requirements: Must be willing to be based in KSA for extended periods of time
