Job description
This position is for PaxOcean Group, a company under Kuok Group Singapore.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Take over the contract, bid price and tender documents (post-award) from Commercial to set up project Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and establish the project as-sold budgets as benchmarking.
- As per contract’s requirement, set up Client’s cost report (revenue to PaxOcean) together with Commercial.
- Monitor and update the actual cost work performed and cost commitment monthly from SAP and analyse the costs.
- Verify cost allocation accordingly to WBS and ensure the cost and budget are measurable and assessable at the same WBS level.
- Identify project cost variances and forecast the estimate at completion and report them accordingly.
- Identify and maintain the register for change orders, budget transfers and trends and prepare the supporting documents. [SKS1]
- Set up the change process with project manager and agree with Client.
- As a facilitator, work with project team to identify the risks and opportunities and provide the mitigation plan.
- Prepare monthly project status report and cost report with cost phasing.
- Work with Commercial to prepare billing with supporting documents for invoicing to Client.
- Conduct monthly cost reviews and analysis to identify cost optimization and improvement areas.
- Work with Commercial, Project, Finance, Procurement and Subcon for alignment on cost control objective.
- Promote cost awareness and good practices to project team.
- Prepare project ad hoc reports.
- Participate in SAP and other systems’ improvement.
Job requirements
- Bachelor in Engineering or Science, alternative Diploma in Engineering, or Science or Accounting and Finance with exposure in maritime industry.
- At least 10 years of relevant working experience.
- Good analytical skill with the ability to interpret complex data and make sound recommendation.
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to meeting deadlines and objectives.
- Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in project cost control management with strong reporting and effective communication skills
- Microsoft Office (Advanced in MS Excel, Intermediate to Advanced Word and PowerPoint) and ERP system (like SAP, Oracle etc.)
