Job description
As a Risk Analyst at Kuok Group Singapore, you will support the Risk Assistant Manager in identifying, assessing and mitigating risks that could impact our Group’s operations, strategy and overall success.
You will contribute to the implementation of enterprise risk management (“ERM”) processes and assist with credit risk assessments, working closely with stakeholders across our Group’s Business Units (“BUs”) and Corporate Functions.
You will report directly to the Risk Assistant Manager and collaborate with various teams to ensure effective risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Implementation of ERM Program:
Assist in the execution of the Group’s ERM program, including risk policies and procedures.
Work with stakeholders to ensure the effective implementation of risk management initiatives and support continuous improvements in risk processes and controls.
Assist in Risk Reporting and Scenario Analysis:
Support the preparation of quarterly risk reports for BUs and Corporate Functions.
Assist in analyzing risk scenarios, evaluating their potential impact on our BUs. Help prepare presentations of key findings for senior stakeholders.
Assist in Managing Credit Risk:
Help prepare counterparty risk assessments and support the application of credit risk frameworks.
Contribute to the development and implementation of strategies to mitigate financial risks and ensure sound credit decision-making.
Support the Promotion of Risk Awareness and Culture:
Contribute to risk awareness across the Group by assisting with the delivery of risk management training programs and workshops.
Assist in managing third-party vendors and maintaining the Group’s digital library of case studies, ensuring they align with best practices.
Job requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Business Studies, Accounting, Economics, Management or a related degree, with a good GPA.
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in risk management, ideally in enterprise and credit risk or a related field. Strong performing candidates from accounting / finance / banking fields are also encouraged to apply.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a genuine intellectual curiosity in risk management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and work effectively across teams.
Demonstrates strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with risk management tools and frameworks is advantageous, along with experience in supporting risk management training or workshops.
Familiarity with the maritime industry and emerging markets is an advantage, particularly in understanding sector-specific risks.
