Job description
In this exciting role, you will play a vital part in safeguarding our organization's data and systems from cyber threats. You will learn from experienced professionals and gain valuable hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. Your responsibilities will include:
Governance Framework Development
Assist in the design and implement IT governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to support the organization's strategic objectives.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
Hand-on implementation of ISO 27001 and relevant certifications will be an advantage.
Strong understanding of IT governance frameworks and industry standards (e.g., COBIT, ITIL, ISO/IEC 27001).
Process Improvement
Identify gaps in existing IT processes and governance structures and develop action plans to address these deficiencies.
Coordinate IT audits end to end processes with respective IT stakeholders and auditors.
Involve improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of IT governance operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and ensure consistency across the organization.
Risk Management
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential threats to IT governance.
Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on the status of governance and process improvement efforts.
Stakeholder Engagement
Engage with key stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure alignment of IT governance initiatives with business needs.
Provide training and support to staff on IT governance, cybersecurity and process improvement practices.
Job requirements
3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on GRC functions
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Relevant certifications in Cyber Security, such as CISSP, CEH, CRISC, ITIL, would be beneficial.
Strong understanding of cybersecurity concepts and principles.
Familiarity with security tools and technologies (firewalls, intrusion detection systems, etc.) is a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Candidate with relevant Maritime audits experience will be a plus
Passionate about cybersecurity and eagerness to learn and grow in this field.
