Your responsibilities will include:
Cybersecurity Operations: Oversee and manage IT security service requests and changes through ITSM platform to ensure timely resolution of support tickets and maintain service level agreements (SLAs)
Security Monitoring & Incident Response: Lead the identification, investigation, and remediation of security incidents using SIEM, IDS/IPS, and other security monitoring tools.
Threat Hunting & Intelligence: Conduct proactive threat-hunting activities, leveraging intelligence sources to detect advanced threats before they escalate.
Incident Management & Forensics: Perform incident management and forensic analysis of security breaches, document findings, and develop response strategies to mitigate future risks.
Vulnerability Management & Risk Assessment: Oversee vulnerability scans, analyze risks, and coordinate patch management efforts to strengthen security defenses.
Security Tools Optimization: Manage, configure, and optimize security tools, including secure email gateway, firewalls, endpoint detection and response (EDR), data loss prevention (DLP), and cloud security solutions.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure adherence to industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, CIS, and regulatory requirements like GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2.
Security Awareness & Training: Lead initiatives to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices to reduce human risk factors.
Incident Reporting & Executive Briefings: Develop and present security reports to senior leadership, translating technical findings into business-relevant insights.
Job requirements
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Relevant certifications in Cyber Security, such as CISSP, GCIH, CEH, CSA, OSCP, would be beneficial.
Preferred Experience
4 or more years of experience in security operations, incident response, or cybersecurity roles, preferably in an enterprise or SOC environment
Strong knowledge of network and server security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection solutions.
Proficiency in threat intelligence, basic malware analysis, and penetration testing techniques.
Hands-on experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash, etc) for automation.
Familiarity with cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), Privilege Access Management tools, and Secure Email Gateways.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
