Job description
Key Responsibilities:
Market Analysis
- Research, understand and identify the key macroeconomic and sectoral trends that will influence the demand for ocean transportation and areas of emerging growth.
- Proactively manage a database of macroeconomic and segment-specific indicators.
- Conduct issue-specific analysis (by countries, cargo flows, companies etc) to understand the market fundamentals and identify the risks and opportunities that will impact PCL’s business model in the medium-to-long term.
- Create and maintain databases, dashboards, and reports to visualize and communicate key findings to stakeholders.
- Communicate views and findings to colleagues, HODs and companies within the Kuok Group Singapore via formal research notes, regular meetings and ad-hoc contact and emails.
- Where appropriate, collaborate and support other analysts and teams across Kuok Group Singapore.
Performance Management
- Track PCL Group and Departmental KPIs and support the annual review of the KPIs by evaluating the KPIs against strategic priorities.
- Schedule and coordinate PCL management meetings, conferences, and special events, and support in the preparation of relevant information and materials.
- Assist in the preparation of updates, reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the corporate development and improvement of reporting processes, data analysis tools, and templates.
- Support key corporate projects by coordinating across PCL departments to ensure project progress and delivery.
- Work closely with other members of the team to support communications and corporate projects.
Job requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. Fresh graduates are welcomed, working experience is preferred.
- Experience in financial modelling, valuation techniques, and data visualisation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and draw meaningful conclusions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities.
