This position is for PaxOcean Group, a company under Kuok Group Singapore.


Position summary

This role is the lead commercial for the Group’s vessel conversion projects business including, but not limited to, marketing initiatives, commercial enquiry review / follow-up, project management / execution and any other related tasks that is deemed relevant and necessary.
 

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customer enquiries, tenders and/ or Request for Quotations (RFQs) are compiled and followed through according to customer’s specifications and requirements.

  • Interpret the technical specifications/ requirements/ engineering drawings and prepare commercial proposal/ bid for submission through coordination with various stakeholders in the Shipyard.

  • Coordinate and compile Pre-qualifications and clarifications between customer and Company.

  • Monitor and ensure various datelines by customer are strictly followed.

  • Support Project Management during project execution on cost estimate of variation orders and billing to customer.

  • Maintain and cultivate good relationship with existing and potential associates/customers through regular communication.

  • Commitment to Company’s HSE and Quality policies through participation in safety and quality initiatives.

  • Work with assigned Project Planner and Project Manager to plan, generate, and maintain construction schedule of assigned projects.

  • Focal point for all communication with customer and internal project team.

  • Gather and analyse market information from different sources to complement business forecast.

Job requirements

  • Degree in Business or Engineering field or Diploma with relevant substantial experience

  • At least 10-15 years of relevant industry experience including a minimum of 5 years in commercial roles and in addition, preferably with experience in vessel conversions and contracts/project management.

  • Able to read, interpret and prepare applicable technical / commercial information including proposal, Engineering Drawings and suggest process changes to ensure functional and cost-effective results.

  • Possess commercial acumen

  • Has determination and initiatives to independently communicate and gather information to facilitate decision making.

  • Possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Able to work independently and interface with multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced project environment.

  • Possess outstanding communication and presentation skills.

  • Able to travel internationally for project needs and short-term assignments.

  • Ability to collaborate seamlessly across boundaries and international culture.
