Senior Manager/Manager, Talent Acquisition role within Group HR

Job description

The Senior Manager/Manager, Talent Acquisition role resides within the Group HR Talent Acquisition Team and is responsible to manage talent acquisition deliverables for assigned business groups.

This role works closely in partnership with the businesses and HR business partners to effectively and efficiently source, identify and select the talents to meet their recruitment needs. This includes strategizing recruitment approaches, enabling hiring and testing tools, gatekeeping candidate selection procedures and working with the HR operations team to manage the end-to-end hiring processes.

In addition to recruitment activities, this role will also be assigned with recruitment-relevant projects like managing recruitment drives, intern programs, recruitment automation, etc, to achieve the objectives of enhancing employer value proposition and candidate experience.

As part of the Talent Acquisition Team, this role is key in connecting with the businesses to understand and anticipate their recruitment needs, thereby working towards bringing in the right fit of talents into the organization.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the businesses and HR business partners to understand and anticipate their recruitment needs and strategize to meet the needs.

  • Manage the end-to-end recruitment processes, ensuring business recruitment needs are met timely and effectively, in compliance with relevant country regulations.

  • Demonstrates creativity in engaging and utilizing candidate sourcing channels and strategies, including but not limited to participation in career fairs and government-supported manpower programs.

  • Be mindful of establishing a growing pipeline of young and experienced talents in anticipation of upcoming and changing business needs.  

  • Function as a liaison amongst business leaders, HR business partners, hiring managers and HR operations teams to enable smooth recruitment services provision, ensuring alignment and connecting the dots effectively.

  • Optimize usage of recruitment, candidate selection and testing tools, processes and social media to improve recruitment efficiency and effectiveness, at the same time uplifting the company brand and image as an employer or choice.

  • Constantly challenges the status-quo to uplift the operating standards of the recruitment function.

  • Responsible for managing assigned recruitment-relevant projects like recruitment drives, career fairs, intern programs, recruitment automation, etc, to achieve the objectives of enhancing employer value proposition and candidate experience.

Job requirements

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field

  • More than 10 years of experience in Talent Acquisition roles in a regional or global environment.

  • At least 5 years of experience in HR business partner roles will be an added advantage

  • Strong stakeholder management skills

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

  • Proven track record working with recruitment agencies, job posting board vendors and other candidate sourcing channels

  • Experience in project implementation; Ability to prioritize to manage projects and BAU recruitment activities

  • Excellent planning and organization skills and attention to details

  • Strong problem solving abilities
