POSH is looking for a Subcontract Specialist to manage all aspects of subcontracting on a project.

Job description

This role is based in Singapore and reports directly to the SCM Manager on a specific project. This role also works closely with other members of the Project Management Team (PMT) on a day to day basis, such as Package Managers, Engineering Manager and Project Operations Manager to manage the subcontracting process.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring that subcontracting activities are performed in a timely and cost-effective manner and that subcontractors meet all project requirements and specifications.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including project managers, procurement, and legal departments, as well as external vendors and subcontractors, to manage subcontracting activities
  • Identify all major subcontracts required for the Project and develop subcontracting strategies and plans to be rolled out for the Project
  • Responsible to develop and manage Project Subcontract Plan, including assisting and coordinating the implementation of the Sucontract Plan, together with project management, Engineering (and/or others as appropriate and applicable)
  • Ensure the appropriate and robust selection, management and monitoring of potential subcontractors identified for the Project
  • Developing and issuing subcontracting requests for proposals (RFPs)
  • Preparing commercial bid evaluations for all subcontracts
  • Negotiating subcontract terms and conditions with respective vendors
  • Ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services
  • Managing subcontractor relationships and performance through project lifecycle
  • Managing subcontractor payments and invoices
  • Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies


Job requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, business, or a related field
  • A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in supply chain management (subcontracts), with significant experience in the offshore oil & gas industry
  • Relevant experience working on previous T&I offshore construction projects is preferred
  • Previous track record of working on Saudi Aramco LTA Projects of similar scopes is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of subcontracting processes and procedures
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with vendors, suppliers, and internal teams
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to develop and manage subcontracting plans and budgets
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • A commitment to safety and a strong safety record
  • Professional certification in supply chain management, such as Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) is an advantage
  • Experience with offshore subcontracting and vendor management
  • Fluent in English
