Job description

Responsible for: (The main job activities)

  • Develop Generic Projects Cost Structure based on estimation budget provided by Paxocean Commercial Department.

  • Record/extract Committed/Spent Cost to-date for Direct Costs for:

    • Resource cost from Mariner or other timesheet systems.

    • Other direct project costs such as consultancy work, software, travel, meals etc. by receiving copies of Purchase Orders or Expense Claim Forms.

  • Liaise with Accounts Department to charge company’s overheads (indirect costs) according to company’s overhead allocation system/procedures.

  • Generate monthly cost reports in tabular and graphical formats for each project in Primavera/Mariner or other tools

  • Revise project cost estimate at the end of every reporting period to generate ‘Forecast At Completion’.

  • Facilitate and provide information to Accounts Department for accrued invoices at required frequency or predetermined project payment milestones so the invoices can be issued to the clients and maintain Invoice Register.

  • Perform cost analysis and advise project leaders on cost over-runs in a timely manner so the corrective actions can be taken.

  • At the time of project completion, record cost information in project database (Primavera’s Methodology Manager or any other tool, as required) using standard cost structure and utilise this cost database for future project cost estimation.

  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing for project cost reports and other cost related documents.

  • Assist in preparing cost estimation, tracking and control procedure and continuously look at the ways of improving processes and revise procedure accordingly.

  • Prepare Cost Estimation for Change Request/Proposal, settlement of Change Request/Proposal with clients in a timely manner.

  • Any other duties that may arise from time to time which fall within the parameters of this role, for which the incumbent has the necessary skills and competences

  • To follow the Safety Rules and Regulation set refer to Occupational Health & Safety Policy and Environmental Policy by the yard

Notes:
- This for 2 Years training program includes job rotations across key Subcontracting functions.
- Upon successful completion, candidates may be placed in a role in Subcontracting Department.

 

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Naval Engineering, Naval System Engineering, Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering,

  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities, both in English and Bahasa Indonesia.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Proactive, adaptable, and willing to learn in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
