Responsibilities:
The Data Centre Sustainability Process Specialist will report to the Facility Process Specialist.
- Support with building and maintaining compliance with emerging Datacentre compliance including EU Code of Conduct on Data Centres, Carbon Neutral Datacentre Pact, EU Taxonomy, EU Energy Efficiency Directive, and the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive
- Ensuring the ESG policy documents and processes within the facility are maintained and escalated where appropriate.
- Manage all internal and external training schedules including ESG & Technical
- Support with internal and external audit / inspection requirements to ensure department compliance / readiness.
- Engagement with customer counterparts to ensure appropriate data sharing and continual process improvement
- Support with finance within purchase orders, invoicing and budgets.
- Develop projects in collaboration with colleagues to achieve K2’s sustainability goals
- Become a subject matter expert on the relevant regulations and K2’s pathways to ensuring compliance.
- Manage and complete ad-hoc projects as assigned.
- Prepare reports by collating, analysing, and summarizing data; making recommendations.
- Work internally or with other departments to increase efficiencies and reduce social and environmental impacts.
Job requirements
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma or qualified certification
- Evidence of interest or expertise in sustainability and/or ESG in a corporate environment
- Ability to work closely and learn on the job with mechanical and electrical engineering colleagues
- 2-3 years’ relevant work experience, Data Centre background preferred
- Technical understanding of electricity generation and carbon budgets preferred
- Excellent document control
- Excellent project, planning, change and time management capabilities
- Good judgement and decision-making skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Familiar with Microsoft office suite
- Ability to use computer applications effectively
- Ability to work on SAP would be an advantage.
