Job description
Purpose of the Role:
K2 is seeking a Technical Programme Manager to ensure the successful operation, maintenance and repair of all critical environment systems while always maintaining 100% uptime to all critical power systems on site.
Responsibilities:
- Manage large, complex initiatives, delivering critical solutions, significant improvements, new mechanisms, or deprecating systems that require lifecycle replacement, working with multiple teams in and/or across organizations.
- Accountable for the overall strategy of large programs and manage all stages (from concept to delivery).
- To understand the architecture of the systems and influence team technical priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions, training and drills.
- Able to make a case for project priorities, resource allocation to achieve a desired business outcome, resolve an architecture deficiency, or unblock delivery.
- Able to communicate ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences including Senior Manager, Leadership and Customers.
- Foster a constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and lead the resolution of contentious issues (build consensus) and partner with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams.
- Drive crisp decisions in your program area about what projects move forward and in what priority order and proactively identify risks and bring them to the attention of your team and stakeholders with plans for mitigation before they become roadblocks.
- Be a simplifier to judiciously add, refine, and remove procedures.
- Build good working relationships with engineers, managers, and peers, able to recognize discordant views and take part in constructive dialogue to resolve them.
- Own, gather data, write, deliver, and present project and business-related reports on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and ad-hoc basis, while ensuring written communication is of the highest quality with minimal feedback required.
- Adhere to all quality, health & safety, and environmental policies within the domain.
Job requirements
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor’s in Electrical or Critical Facilities Maintenance & Management
- 10 years minimum total working experience and 3-5 years in data centre environment
- 2-3 years operation supervisory and team management role
- Proficiency in MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
- Candidates who are active, initiative, conscientious, sociable, flexible, optimistic are preferred
- Good command of written and spoken English is required.
